Joseph St. Clair Favrot family papers, 1900-1924.

Programs of the Little Theatre Guild of Baton Rouge (1922-1924), of the Elks' "Farewell Performance" at Pike's Hall (1900), and of a minstrel production at the Elks' Theatre sponsored by the U.D.C. Six photographs, at least five of which are by A.D. Lytle, depicting Baton Rouge scenes including steamboats, Federal troops, and the first electric car in Baton Rouge. Miscellaneous items include a broadside, a newspaper clipping regarding the William T. Sherman's troops, a printed sketch of New Iberia, a list of members of the Handkerchief Club, and an invitation.

Andrew David Lytle, a native of Ohio and journeyman photographer, came through Baton Rouge while traveling the South as an itinerant photographer. Lytle settled in Baton Rouge in 1860, established his photographic studio on Main Street, and began what would turn out to be more than fifty years of photographing the life and times of this small river city.
